Practicum Intern

Parisa Waisi is a BBS registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and currently working towards her doctorate degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC), and her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Ms. Waisi has experience working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, domestic violence, and abuse.  In addition, she has experience with interpersonal relationships such as peer and parent/child conflicts. Ms. Waisi has designed and facilitated self-esteem groups for adolescents which provided psychoeducation and skills to assist them in improving their academic performance while learning ways to better cope with life’s challenges.  Moreover, she has co-facilitated psychoeducational self-improvement workshops for adults.

She is passionate about helping individuals by giving them insights and tools to realize their strengths and to identify the challenges/obstacles that prevent them from achieving their goals and feeling satisfied. She is devoted to providing the highest level of care to ensure her patients’ wellbeing. She provides counseling in Farsi and English. Ms. Waisi’s clinical services at Renewed Freedom Center are provided under the license and supervision of Jennifer Lynch, Psy.D. (PSY30626).
