Matt Baker is a Doctoral Practicum Intern at the Renewed Freedom Center. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mr. Baker is currently a fourth-year student in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Anaheim. His clinical experience and training includes working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds in both outpatient community health, and detox and residential treatment programs. Mr. Baker has experience working with individuals diagnosed with personality disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, complex trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and substance abuse. He also has administered both psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessments in order to determine diagnoses and provide solution-focused interventions tailored to the needs of each individual each patient. Mr. Baker’s approach to treatment is strength-based, genuine, and focuses on assisting individuals in discovering balance while fostering self-awareness. He aims to encourage others and provide the best opportunity for them to make life-changing decisions in the face of adversity, through creating a comfortable space for them to feel safe to explore their challenges and aspirations.
